You know on your profile page, you can put up your own banner and stuff? I've had an image of a demon portrait in watercolor for two years already and I'm sick of it. It's not representative of my style anymore and it's a past identity. What should I use?

Out of the blue I got a cold this week, but I am healing now. My voice still hasn't changed back yet unfortunately so I sound like an entirely different person. I am still drawing, no worries. I am actually working on chapter two of my Akagi doujinshi and prefer to publish it entirely online when it's done. The drawing style kind of changed for the better. It does seem inconsistent from the first chapter. Today I decided to draw something different and settled on a Dir en grey fan art. It started off with a cartoonish version of the band, but the idea got scrapped because it didn't look good. Then I settled with an illustrated version of Die, but it eventually just became a portrait study. I didn't want to copy. I wanted to put something of my own style. Well, it never happened. Eventually the pencil sketch became a full watercolor piece. Studying the light was fairly easy, but the painting was hard. My watercolor skills are self taught and pretty "bleh". I don't think I know how to put paint on paper. It doesn't look lively. I was frustrated with my pencil sketch because it didn't look like Die. But after applying colors and continuously reworking it, I would say there is a resemblance. Die-san I think I did a pretty good job on your face. I did you justice.

Hello! You may have noticed that I have returned an uploaded a barrage of drawings. Some of the submissions are actually old and haven't bothered submitting it to deviantArt. The Fukumoto themed work are the new ones I've worked on. I plan to work on more stuff and hopefully get to draw more comics. It'll mean much more dedication. I've learned in the past two months that drawing with a brush is miraculously liberating. I should have been doing this ages ago! Better to discover it now than later. I've come back from a Kamijo concert and I'm hoping I get the heart to do a Kamijo fan art piece. This man deserves my respect. He was gorgeous in person. I've gained some new ideas and will execute them soon enough!

I've gone back to drawing again. Drawing doujinshi has been taking up a lot of my time so that's going to be on hold or now. I need a new project to work on. Hopefully I will be creating a steady stream of drawings so my viewers can enjoy more stuff. Recently I've gotten back into Akagi and my head simply exploded with a bunch of ideas for fan art. There's just so much stuff that I can do with just one character. One of the things I really enjoyed doing was creating crossovers. I've seen a Fukumoto x JoJo crossover and a Fukumoto x Persona 4 crossover, but I think there can be more in that universe. Maybe my work can add to the fandom, I don't know. There's one crossover that I've been dying to create, Fukumoto x 13 Assassins. I think there are so many characters in the Fukumoto universe that carry some aspect of kickass in their nature. With 13 Assassins being a film about samurai, I would like to imagine 13 select characters as hack and slash masters. Of course, I would like to recreate some of the previous roles to change the nature of the story. While the 2010 film has a very sombre color palette, I envision my version of the crossover to be more vibrant in design and still carry the same air of ferocity. I have the cast of the 13 assassins thought out though I might switch out certain characters last minute. Even though it counts as cheating, I have the 3 different Akagis included in the cast. Though virtually the same person, they still carry a different side of Akagi.

It looks like I'll be doing intensive sketches and concept design just for one little crossover. But that's how artwork should, right? It may be one piece of work that people just glance over, but behind it is a hell lot of work and dedication. In the end, it feels extremely satisfying to the artist, not the viewer. I even thought about including a backstory behind this crossover. Almost like a serious parody instead of a funny one like I usually do. I encourage people to use tumblr and pixiv in addition to deviantart as platforms for art. That's how I got more ideas to draw. In the future, you might see more JoJo fan art as well. I thought about doing a Lord of the Rings crossover due to my recent marathon over the film trilogy. It sounds extremely bizarre right now, but I need something to occupy my time.
